God of War III was released in North America on March 16, 2010 with an "Ultimate Edition" available for preorder, with unique content. Kratos engages both the gods and the Titans' former allies in a series of epic battles between the underworld and Olympus. Aided by a revived spirit of Athena and Pandora, eventually, Kratos defeats the gods and titans opponent. After killing Zeus, Kratos refuses the help of Athena assume the role of patron of the new humanity and disappears, his final destination unknown.
